Settlements to be ‘strengthened’ in wake of Jerusalem attacks, Israeli PM says

Israel will "take steps to strengthen settlement" in response to shooting attacks in Jerusalem Friday and Saturday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said.

Last Friday during a press conference, Premier John Horgan and Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General Mike Farnworth announced as a necessary measure a rebate on gasoline prices for ICBC subscribers who have been affected by fuel price increases in recent months.

Both leaders acknowledged the hardship that British Columbians are dealing with on a daily basis as prices for basic services such as rent, mortgage and groceries rise exorbitantly. The statements also noted the growing impact of the Russia-Ukraine conflict on fuel prices, which could influence decisions on new policy mechanisms to benefit residents.
